The RIGHT list for a corporate retreat as an employee
If you are going to a corporate retreat for the first time, you need to know some packing hacks to get the most out of this experience. Corporate retreats are designed to create a professional bond among colleagues outside of the workplace and it is also the first glimpse of yourself outside the office in front of your co-workers. Here’s how you nail your first impression outside your workplace to your colleagues.

You must pack a bag for the weekend, which means, 2 days, 2 nights, and the check-out date. The perfect company retreat packing list would include:
Outfits:
- One (1) business casual outfit per day. Outfit means- top, bottom, watch, belt, socks, sunglasses. The entire outfit.
- One dressy formal or business formal for a gala or a formal dinner
- Sports clothes/Swimwear in case you already know there are opportunities for outdoor activities
- One set of Lounge-wear

Toiletries:
The hotels/resorts usually have shampoo, soap, and lotion; when you are going in a group, the given resources might run scarce. Be extra prepared with your toiletries list so you can help others who forgot them. Sharing essential resources in a retreat is also a way of bonding with your peers.
- Brush and toothpaste
- An extra hand towel
- Shampoo & a mini bar of soap
- Moisturizer
- Sunscreen

Important resources will make you popular on a trip:
- A first aid kit, filled with painkillers, antihistamines, antacids, antiseptics, cotton buds, bandages, and band-aid strips
- Waterproof bags or re-usable polythene bags to carry wet clothes back home
- Extra lighters (Cigarette lighters)
- Plenty of Mosquito Repellent cream to share
- Safety pins and ropes to hang clothes or mosquito nets
- A multiplug, so more people can charge their electronic devices
- A mobile phone tripod to take group pictures
- A shawl in case it gets chilly at night
- One small musical instrument if you play them

In reality, the participants barely have enough time left to enjoy themselves after hours of attending business conferences. The fun starts when the socks come off and the crocks come on. When you come to a corporate retreat being absolutely prepared for everything and ready to share that with everyone, it will definitely create a lasting and positive impression of you to your colleagues.
